AODS is excited to present their next musical Man of La Mancha written by Dale Wasserman, music by Mitch Leigh and Lyrics by Joe Darion.
Man of La Mancha is a vibrant, feel good, uplifting, colourful, inspiring and rarely performed musical. A chance to experience something fun, different and beautifully moving here in your local community.
It tells the tale of Miguel de Cervantes, who after being thrown into a prison cell, invites his fellow inmates (and the audience) into a theatrical journey. To protect his treasured manuscript, he transforms the gloomy dungeon into a stage and becomes the infamous ‘Don Quixote’, the enthusiastic would-be knight who sees the world through a wonderfully imaginative lens. The colourful cast of prisoners are drawn into Quixote’s hopeful vision and brings his tale to life with comedy, passion and flair.
With its incredible score and the iconic “Impossible Dream,” this production promises to be one to remember. Don’t miss your chance to experience this remarkable musical.
Man of La Mancha will be performed from Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th May 2026 at 7.30pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm at the Alton Assembly Rooms.
